Dolnet Bel Air Tenor. #33,xxx from the late 1940's, serial number charts do not exist for these horns. Its a distinctive looking and playing horn with a warm smoky feel all its own. Incredibly distinctive styling contribute to a wonderful and very underrated instrument. Alto saxophone Dolnet. The saxophone is from the early 1970s. Serial number is 45522. The saxophone includes a mouthpiece and a suitcase. The sax would have to be overtaken. Condition good - see pictures. Please also look at the XXL pictures, they are part of the offer! Condition - please see photos. Images are part of the description! Be aware this is more likely to be a Series I Dolnet Tenor Saxophone based on the visual pictures and comments I have received from other Ebayers. On 19-Apr-21 at 18:17:48 BST, seller added the following information: Just in addition another Ebayer said this might be 19th Century Dolnet but again this definitely earlier than a Series II Saxophone. The alto was engraved Dolnet. Apparently some models were engraved Bel-Air, while others of the same apparent saxophone were labeled Dolnet. I’m told these are made in France and they have quite a large bore. On a Boston ad I saw a tenor Bel-Air for sale at $600.00. Dolnet is certainly a pro horn, but I have no idea about the Bel-Air.
